My research broadly concerns why people believe inaccurate information with a specific focus on cognition as a source of misinformation. For example, information that violates expectations is often misremembered. How can someone be informed if they don’t even remember accurate information? I use a variety of methods to test my claims, including eye-tracking experiments, longitudinal panel data, and online experiments.
