Michael Gilbert is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Communication at The Ohio State University. He is interested in media portrayals of women and men and how these portrayals can influence consumer's attitudes and behaviors. He is specifically interested in analyzing these outcomes in video game and music media. In the Communication and Cognitive Systems Lab, Michael is studying whether exposure to sexually objectified characters in video games can lead to real-world objectification of women.
